Footsteps in the Right Direction

Been in the mood where you just want to forget the world exists outside of the four walls of your room. The very real need to feel like I am a little caterpillar in a cocoon. I think it's another of those moments where existential crisis strikes you.
So anyhow, during this self-imposed exile, I decided to go through #Instagram since I love photography and that's the one place I can remain anonymous without my presence being announced through timestamps or notifications.
As I waded through the myriad of photographs posted daily.. #selfies #duckfaces #annoyingcritters #dammitselfpossessedfreaks... I came across this one user called @beautifuldestinations.
Now if there is one thing I love more than reading, that's travelling. So imagine if I find gorgeous photographs of places I have never even heard of. Quaint little towns, majestic snow-capped mountains, crystal clear, pure untouched waters, cliffs that dare you to stand on their ledges, chasms spanning infinity, people in caves once walked by our ancestors.. well the imaginary list goes on. The interesting fact was, the user asks you to tag yourself and the person you love with the destination of choice. That but, of course, got me a tad bit morose knowing my penchant for doomed relationships. But the one thing I have been blessed with is an indomitable spirit. Through a few threads of randomly interconnected thoughts, I reached the realisation that to enjoy the beauty of a place, I don't really need somebody else with me. All I need is me. Yes not denying that sharing the experience would have enhanced it (trying to shut the romantic in me but she keeps blurting stuff like that on occasion), but it's better to, at least, have been there isn't it?? I am sure any one of these places would leave me too breathless to ponder over any minor irregularities of my exceedingly hilarious life.
This finally gets me to the point (yes, everything written above was just me processing random information to not get bored) of making a list of all the places I would love to visit. Not the names of countries but of particular areas in the world. Well, let's see how the journey goes.
